Issue with Opening PSD Files on Apple Silicone Macs Using SMB Server

As I've recently discovered, it seems like there might be a bug affecting our workflow when using Adobe Photoshop on new Apple Silicone Macs to access files on an SMB server. Specifically, if the first PSD file opened is kept open, it allows us to access any other files on the server without encountering the error message.

One workaround that has been proposed by a user and confirmed to be effective is keeping the first PSD file open while trying to access other files. However, this isn't an ideal solution as it requires manual intervention each time we need to access files.

What's interesting is that Photoshop seems to be the only Adobe Creative Cloud application affected by this issue on Apple Silicone Macs. We've been using SMB server workflow with our Intel Macs for years without any issues, and there doesn't appear to be a connection between this problem and general issues with SMB and MacOS.

The issue appears to be specific to the new Apple Silicone Macs running MacOS version 12.3 or 12.3.1. We've tried various solutions to resolve the problem but haven't had any success so far. What's more, it doesn't seem to be related to network credentials as we can access the same files from our Intel Macs without any issues.

When trying to open certain PSD files on the NAS using Photoshop, we encounter an error message stating that 'the file is locked, you do not have necessary access permissions, or another program is using the file.' This issue has been isolated to these new Apple Silicone computers and only affects Photoshop.

We're currently experiencing this problem with four of our 15 Mac computers, all of which are connected to a NAS via SMB. If anyone else has encountered this issue, we'd love to hear about their experiences and any potential solutions they've found.
